Meet With Us: How It Works
We start with an initial meeting, usually around an hour, to understand your protection needs and any concerns you may have. During this meeting we complete a detailed fact find, which forms the basis for our advice and recommendations. Meetings can take place at your home or at our office.
Any existing protection policies will be reviewed. If needed, we can also provide a free comparison, for example comparing an existing Critical Illness policy with newer options available on the market.
Once our research is complete, we will provide a full report with clear recommendations. Our aim is to give you the right protection advice and build a long term relationship that provides security and peace of mind. If a claim ever needs to be made, we will support you through the process and work with the provider to ensure it is handled smoothly and paid as quickly as possible.
Shaun Bond
I began working in financial services in 1990 as an Independent Financial Adviser, gaining experience with two national IFA firms and a mortgage broker. This background has allowed me to focus on providing clear, expert protection advice.
I have built long term relationships with many of my clients, with regular contact and reviews helping ensure their protection remains suitable as circumstances change. The most rewarding part of my role is knowing clients have the right cover in place should the unexpected happen.
Outside of work, I enjoy sport, particularly golf, football and rugby. Two of my favourite golf courses are Kingsbarns in Scotland and Valderrama in Spain, both fantastic choices for a bucket list golf trip.
Wendy Watkins
I have worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years, starting at Clerical Medical & General and later working with major providers including Eagle Star, Zurich, Standard Life and Aviva. My experience spans administration, sales consulting and working directly with financial advisers and their clients. I am fully FPC qualified and hold the R05 Protection Qualification.
Having worked across pensions, investments and protection, it is protection that I am most passionate about. Knowing that our clients and their families are financially protected if the worst were to happen gives me a real sense of pride in the work Shaun and I do.
Outside of work, I am an avid Bristol City fan and an active member of the Portishead community, helping organise the town’s annual carnival. I also enjoy spending time with family and relaxing with good food, wine and music.
